Students failing a minimum of 2 classes or have been down in one class for 3 weeeks are ineligible for the week of 03/01/2010-03/06/2010.   LCSD#2 policy states that a student is ineligible to participate in extra-curricular activities if they have deficiencies in any two (2) classes or are deficient in any class for three (3) consecutive weeks with ineligibility beginning the fourth (4th) week.  If you have any questions about student eligibility please feel free to call the office.
ATTENDANCE POLICY
Quarterly Attendance Letters are mailed weekly.  To clarify the present policy each quarter you will receive a letter as follows:

1. 1st letter @ 3 absences in any one class period for the quarter.

2. 2nd letter @ 4 absences in any one class period for the quarter.

3.  3rd letter sent by certified mail @ the 5th absence in any one class for the quarter.
This letter will ask you to come in with your student to conference with the Principal and
make an Attendance Contract that specifically states how many absences are left in the
semester before your student will lose credit in each specific class/es.

4. FINALLY any student under contract or not, who has 10 absences for the semester will
lose credit for the class/es.  The final decision to withhold credit lies with the Principal.

PLEASE NOTE  the following attendance codes are some of the absence codes that are equal to being present at school:  S, B, R, I.

The following absence codes are recorded as absences but are EXEMPT from the attendance policy:  M = Medical Note, F=Family Emergency (given at the discretion of the Principal).

REMINDER:  3 tardies (T) = 1 absence. A medical note will erase a tardy. The attendance code D=early dismissal from a class and represents 1/3 of an absence it can also be erased by a medical note.

If you have any questions about the Attendance Policy please feel free to call the office.
